OneSoil mobile is moving to freemium

Our community of farmers is growing - and OneSoil mobile is moving to a paid model. Here's what's changing and what stays free.
Reading time: 3 minutes
We started OneSoil with one idea: precision agriculture should belong to every farmer, not just to those who can afford expensive software.

That idea hasn't changed. But the way we run monitoring in the mobile app has to.

As our community grows, so does the cost of running the app - satellite data, infrastructure, and continuous development.

A free-only model can no longer support that. Moving to freemium lets us keep OneSoil reliable and keep building new features for you.

Starting May 5, OneSoil mobile is moving to a freemium model. The update rolls out gradually, so you may see the changes a little later in the coming days.
What stays free for every farmer

If you use OneSoil App casually - to check on your fields once in a while, take notes during scouting, or look at the weather before a workday - the free version will continue to do everything you need.

Free for everyone, with no limits on the number of fields:
  • Virtual Weather Station
  • The last cloud-free image per field - NDVI, moisture, and satellite imagery
  • Hyperlocal precipitation map for the next hour
  • Field notes with photos and geolocationAccess to all your fields and season
What's available with a subscription

For farmers who use OneSoil as a daily decision-making tool - tracking how each field develops, planning operations days ahead, comparing fields across the season - a paid tier opens up the features that make this possible:

  • Season-long history. NDVI, moisture, and satellite imagery - see how each field evolves week by week, identify problem areas early, compare zones across the year.
  • 4-hour hyperlocal precipitation forecast. Plan operations with precise short-range forecasting tied to your field, not the nearest weather station.
  • Spraying Windows recommendations. Know when conditions are right for treatment.
  • Field boundaries download. Export your field boundaries for use in other systems.
Coming soon for subscribers:

  • VRA suitability - assess which of your fields are suitable for variable-rate applications
  • Alerts and recommendations based on your current field conditions and historical context
How subscriptions work

Subscriptions are purchased directly through the App Store or Google Play, in your local currency.

Pricing adapts to your region and the size of your operation, with additional savings on quarterly plans. You can review the options in the app once you update.

If you work with a team, the subscription covers your entire workspace - every field, every season, and everyone you've invited to work with you. One subscription per workspace, not per person.
For students and educators

If you're using OneSoil for academic or non-commercial purposes, write to us at care@onesoil.ai we'll keep your access free.

For OneSoil Pro customers

If you have a Pro subscription, the new mobile features are already included - there's nothing you need to do.
